Season 2 brought back Anna, Lei, Marduk, Armor King, and Julia while Season 3 brought back Zafina. Several staple characters previously absent at launch make their return.Come Season 4 and we now have an indicator that lets the player know if their next opponent is on a wi-fi or Ethernet connection. At launch, the game lacked an indicator for players that would play on a Wi-Fi connection.

Said punishment tool also works in the Replay feature noted below and is free for all players to use unlike the Frame Data Display.

Another nice change from previous installments in Season 3 is the addition of a Punishment Training tool to help players improve their overall punishment against particularly difficult or annoying characters (such as Hwoarang or King).

After years of resorting to outside resources for frame data, many fans were excited (albeit understandably mixed) with the arrival of an in-game Frame Date Display tool that shows the exact in-game frames of a character's move (even including the startup of move extensions, which is unseen with most other Frame Data tools available).

In Tekken 7, the Bound system is replaced by the Screw system while also making combos much easier to pull off, resulting in certain characters like Jin and Dragunov having much easier combos to pull off than in Tekken 6 and Tag 2.

Speaking of combos, another complaint from Tag 2 was the fact that combos (particularly those utilizing the Tag Assault mechanic) were incredibly daunting and off-putting for newcomers to do.

Season 4 addresses this by increasing the life bar slightly, as well as reducing combo scaling primarily at the wall.

Unfortunately however, Season 3 would see a relapse from Tag 2's combo damage as several characters have received new moves to aid in their wall carry (i.e., Jin receiving a new High extension from his Spine Cracker string note 1,2 during Mental Alertness 2 stance, Josie receiving a Mid extension to her f+2 string, etc.), leading to complaints about combo damage once again being as high as it was in Tag 2.

At launch, this was remedied by going back to the standard one-on-one gameplay that has defined the series since Tekken 5 while also toning down combos and making them more accessible to new players.

One of the common gripes that players had in back in Tag 2 was that combos would go on for far too long while doing too much damage.

Nevertheless, the developers at Tekken Project have gone to great lengths to address some of the problems in the game's ongoing lifespan since its release.

Author's Saving Throw: Tekken 7 is an interesting case in that, while attempting to remedy some of the problems that players have had with previous games and seasons in the case of T7, the developers run the risk of introducing more problems than intended.

The best thing that the Western fans can come up with about her is just how she's preferable than the new reporter/narrator in the story mode - and that she plays pretty good. While her true personality may have made her more fun for a character rather than a generic Moe idol, it was rendered not helping her case because in her Character Story, she proceeded to humiliate the hell out of Eddy Gordo, distracting him from his own quest for vengeance and dragging him into her idol shenanigans and considering her to be the ultimate disrespect towards Eddy's character arc, which is considered interesting by many Western fans. The utter hatred of her had such an impact that they actually made it canon.
